Welcome to NLP Core Skills. This program teaches you the basics, the essential building blocks of NLP. NLP without understanding these concepts is ineffective. Just come back to this same page, using the same login and password and you’ll see a new module. The newest modules will be at the top of the page. Enjoy, Keith Livingston

Anchoring is a skill that’s used in almost every NLP technique. It can also be used as a stand-alone skill in a technique such as anchor collapsing, which I demonstrate in the video below.

[tcb-script type=”text/javascript” src=”http://hypnosis101.evsuite.com/player/playlist-27/?container=evp-A2E4X8IDFI”][/tcb-script]

Calibration is the art of taking a “mental snapshot” of a person’s emotional state(s). The purpose? So you know when they are accessing that state again. Another word for calibration is “measurement.” So, you’re looking/listening/feeling for clues and cues that mark a particular emotion in a person. How do we use it???

In the above examples and in many other situations, without calibration, you’d be driving blind. More accurately, you’d be relying on conscious information and ignoring unconscious information. It’s not that people are lying all the time; it’s just that sometimes the conscious mind and the unconscious mind have different ideas or are in conflict about something

[tcb-script type=”text/javascript” src=”http://hypnosis101.evsuite.com/player/Q2FsaWJyYXRpb24tMS5tcDQ=/?container=evp-MHZFGVPH47″][/tcb-script]

Submodalities are the qualities of our thoughts. They’re important because they let us know how to feel about what we think. They’re literally a coding system for the brain. Each person’s coding system is different. Unlock the code and you can easily make changes in how you (or your clients) operate! Part 1 is the explanation, Part 2 has exercises to build your skill with submodalities. Just click on the video to get started.

[tcb-script type=”text/javascript” src=”http://hypnosis101.evsuite.com/player/playlist-36/?container=evp-EEJ41ECPDP”][/tcb-script]

The NLP Communication Model is a way of understanding how our mind processes information and how that affects our behaviors. It’s one of the core components of NLP and if you pay attention, it can revolutionize the way you look at the world. It’s also one of the pieces you need to learn in order to use NLP effectively.

[tcb-script type=”text/javascript” src=”http://hypnosis101.evsuite.com/player/TmxwLUNvbW11bmljYXRpb24tTW9kZWwtMS5tcDQ=/?container=evp-FZNLSLDDOQ”][/tcb-script]

I get that question a lot. For my answer, I’ve put together a compact video for you. It’s called, “What Is NLP?” It’s about 15 minutes and tackles some of the toughest questions… Is NLP a collection of techniques? Is it the study of excellence? Is it the study of subjective experience? Is it pseudo-scientific hogwash? Is NLP is a technology? Is it a religion? A cult? Is it magic? Is NLP new or original? Is NLP validated by science? What are some of the key differences between NLP and other approaches? And most importantly (I think)… What can we do with NLP? Here’s the video…

[tcb-script type=”text/javascript” src=”http://hypnosis101.evsuite.com/player/V2hhdGlzbmxwLTEubXA0/?container=evp-5AEQU2GZNA”][/tcb-script]

Membership Home

Support

Membership Content Area Home Blog Shop Your Courses Log In Log Out View Cart NLP Core Skills Welcome to NLP Core Skills. Examples Where Calibration is Useful

Let’s suppose you’re working with a client and they have anxiety about a situation. You calibrate the anxiety state and a relaxed confident state. After you’ve done your work, you associate them into the formerly anxious situation. They say they feel fine but you notice they have several markers of the anxious state present.

You’re doing a collapse anchors. You’ve calibrated both states and fired off both anchors. How do you tell what’s going on and if it’s working? Calibration.

You’ve met someone you’re interested in. You’ve calibrated them to like/dislike. You can use your calibration skills to tailor your message to them to make sure you’re heading in the right direction.

Without Calibration Skills, You’re Driving Blind
