A Good Learning State

Learning StateHow do you ensure that you get the most out of any learning experience? How do you drink in the most information and store it for later use? Well, a lot has to do with your state.

From working with lots of people, you figure out that the emotional/mental state someone is on has a lot to do with what they get out of a situation. A person with a fear of public speaking is capable of feeling calm, but they could use help feeling calm in the public speaking context. Someone who smokes to relax will have less of a desire to smoke if they’re already relaxed.

In short, a good portion of NLP and hypnosis techniques help people to change their state in a particular context. Anchor collapses, direct suggestion, reframing, swish patterns — they all help people change their states. And with those different states come better performance.

But that’s after the fact. How do you be proactive? How do you choose a state for maximum performance going into a situation?

In this 5 minute video, we cover how to get into a state that will help you learn just about anything.

Enjoy,
Keith
